The growth enterprises market fell in the afternoon, down more than 2%, the Shenzhen Composite Index is down nearly 1%, and nearly 2,800 stocks in Shanghai and Shenzhen fell.
New Oriental (EDU. N) shares fell nearly 7 percent in premarket trading.
Class A shares fell, Jinlong shares fell nearly 8%, Shenwan Hongyuan Group fell more than 5%, Southwest Securities, Huaxin shares, China Galaxy, CICC fell more than 3%.
U.S. chip stocks fell premarket, with Nvidia (NVDA. O) down nearly 5 percent and TSMC (TSM. N) and AMD (AMD. O) down 2 percent.
Tesla (TSLA. O) shares fell nearly 5% in after-hours trading.
The US stock market continued to decline, with the Dow and Nasdaq both falling more than 1%, and the S & P 500 index falling nearly 1%.
The Hang Seng index turned red, falling nearly 1% in morning trading.
